Work-life balance! It should be taught in schools! Maybe it is now but it sure wasn't when I was in high school. We were supposed to get out of school and get a job and give'er! Head down; ass up! Success was measured by your work and your your pay cheque. And don't waste your time with post secondary education. Ugh.
You do what you can as you do life! We all set higher expectations for ourselves than time and health allow us to fulfil. Post and do what you can without feeling guilt or stress. Work always has a way of getting in the way of our expectations. The best part of retirement for me has been no alarms, no work commitment...just do what I want when I want and on my terms. I am not sure how I ever fit work into my life but my life is fuller now with gardening, dogs, volunteering and clubs that allow me to keep learning and stimulating the brain matter. You need to keep writing though as you are very good at it! Write that book!
I do enjoy reading your observations of people and their comings and goings. Your musings of life with your oatmeal bring a smile to my face.keep up with the dog pics and the selfies. Cheers
I am a long time Feisty follower on T. Love your progressive comments on politics in Alberta and the world as a whole. Love the oatmeal momentary and how it entwines with real events and situations!
I don't have any requests, but I am happy to see you here since I left the bird app. I missed your posts!
Thanks for reading them! I'll still hanging on with shitty twitter but as it becomes more and more unusable, I may share more stuff here.

Yeah that all sounds about right for my generation, too.

Thanks Barb! I really appreciate your support (and also perspective, I'd very much like to be retired now too :)
Since you’re taking requests, I would love a biographical photo post about the pupperino.
I can definitely do a post about Dolly!
